11. Woodland Park Zoo

Another well-liked family destination in Washington is the Woodland Park Zoo. There are over 1,100 animals living there, representing an amazing 300 species, and it is located in Seattle. 

Children and adults alike will learn a lot during their visit because there are so many themed enclosures and informative exhibits to explore. A visit to the Washington Zoo is usually a highlight of the vacation.

12. Mount Baker Highway

Around 60 miles of breathtaking natural scenery and recreational options can be found along the Mount Baker Highway. The highway starts in Bellingham, and at the US Forest Ranger Station, you can get a map and find out a ton of information about the route. Nooksack Falls and Artist Point are just two of the locations along the route that offer fantastic options for hiking, cycling, or simply taking in the scenery. One of the most famous destinations on the list is Artist Point, which is recommended to visit between August and September.
